As we begin our year-end-giving campaign, we are asking you to prayerfully prepare to financially help us for 2021. Did you know that 50% of Rise Congo’s annual budget is met by the year-end-giving?
Rise Congo has a sizable lineup for the 2021 budget with one very large “ask.” I’ll let you know what the large “ask” is next month.
Due to COVID19, our Academy has started in October. We always have our annual need to support our 15 orphans. $65 per orphan will cover their annual tuition, uniforms, backpacks and school supplies. Currently $975 is needed.
We have four Bible Colleges starting up in October. We are needing help outfitting students to do village evangelism for their practicum: six bicycles, one motorcycle, five tents, and other equipment. $4,000.
We have an annual, one-week conference in two locations for our pastors, college teachers, and college students. During this week we reach out to the local leadership, inviting them for a one day leadership seminar. It is one way to reach into the city and village leadership with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and for building good relationships. The cost is $2,000 ($1,000 each) for travel, food, lodging, and conference materials.
Working in cooperation with WorldVision to drill a water well on our property, they drilled a 128 meter well that has brought clean water to our community at large. Clean water creates far better health. Our community, as seen in the photos, brought great joy and relief!
